The St Ives Netball Club
Our philosophy is to ensure that every player feels valued and empowered through their participation in netball, regardless of age or skill level.
The St Ives Netball Club offers teams for players from the age of 5. We welcome boys aged 5 to 12, and provide opportunities for players to learn umpiring from the age of 12. We also encourage coaching from the age of 16 and up. Our club actively supports parent coaches and offers courses and mentorship for less experienced coaches to help build strong, effective coaching across all teams. All coaching roles are filled by volunteers.
At St Ives, quality coaching is a key focus. We believe that players can only reach their full potential with the guidance of skilled coaches, so we encourage all coaches to attend training courses and continue expanding their knowledge.
The St Ives Netball Club is part of the Ku-ring-gai Netball Association (KNA), which is recognized as one of the top sports associations on the North Shore. KNA includes 18 clubs and over 3,600 members from the Ku-ring-gai/Hornsby region.
Player age for the season is determined based on the calendar year (January 1 to December 31). For example, if a player turns 10 at any time during the year, they will play in the 10s division.
